Let’s give it up for all the Women in our lives! No, this isn’t a Mothers Day post in October (even though we wouldn’t be opposed to that), but it is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month! For twenty-two years, the American Cancer Society has honored, recognized and celebrated remarkable mothers who continue to inspire those around them daily with their ability to balance careers, social obligations, philanthropic activities and of course motherhood. So, it’s safe to say these women are truly the definition of Women Power.
It’s the 23rd year in a row that the American Cancer Society will be hosting their annual Mother of the Year Awards Luncheon honoring two extraordinary Mothers. Even though we know it must be extremely hard to narrow it down to only two (because we all know our mom is the best mom in the world), these women have shown unbelievable passion and determination to not only be the best Women, wives and mothers they can be, but to also spread awareness in their communities in the fight against cancer.
This year’s honorees include, Associate Attending Physician at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Assistant Professor of Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College, Mother, and a friend to many Dr. Heather J. Landau, MD as well as WABC-TV Five O’Clock News, Caregiver, and Mother, Mrs/ Diana Williams.
From everyone here at DASHA®, we would like express our gratitude and appreciation towards this year’s honorees. You’re hard work, passion and dedication to improving the lives of those around you stands out amongst the rest and never goes unnoticed.
Thank you!
