DASHA® is proud to introduce the September 2014 DASHA® client of the month, Laura Marron.  And in this case, Laura is not only a client, but an employee!  Read below on how Laura came to DASHA®.

 

Laura MallonPlease share a little of your background with the DASHA® community.  My name is Laura Marron.  I am 29 years old, and I am the Client Services Manager and Event Coordinator at DASHA® wellness & spa, where I lead the concierge team and coordinate all in-house, corporate and special events, as well as greet clients and make sure their needs are met.

Where do you live?  I recently relocated from New Jersey to Westchester, New York, where I live with my fiancée.

How do you commute to work?  I commute via the Metro-North Railroad, and then I walk to the DASHA® Grand Central location.  I sneak in my workouts at the end of the day at New York Sports Club or DASHA®’s own wellness boutique gym before I hop on the train home.

What are your hobbies?  I am a total foodie, and enjoy trying new restaurants with my family and friends.  I love the beach, and I enjoy cooking and working out.  I’m also never one to resist shopping, though I only indulge in this habit when I can justify it!

How did you first learn about DASHA®?  I met Shannon and Dr. Pollack on the beach in Puerto Rico, when we were all stranded there last winter and couldn’t get a flight home.  We got to talking, and pretty soon I was working for DASHA®!

How did DASHA® help you?  DASHA® has helped me to think about the bigger picture; my whole body!  Cause and effect as to why muscles or joints are reacting the way they are.  In working with the chiropractors, I have learned to take into account my daily routine – how I sleep, my posture, how I carry my purse and work bag, cross my legs, how long I sit at the computer – over time these things take a toll on the body and need to be addressed.  I’m now working out on a more regular basis, and more intensely – I run, walk, bike, and do cardio and weight training.  My body takes a beating, and DASHA® has helped me to recognize the importance of stretching and massage and acupressure on my back to ease stress, pain and tension.  Neck massages have also greatly relieved the headaches I used to experience much more often.  I am now a DASHA® believer!  The DASHA® team works together to help you find the root of the issue and resolve it.  Every time I take care of my body at DASHA®, I have a fresh start and leave feeling wonderful.
