While we’re all getting our beauty sleep, Dr. Pollack is rising before 2:00am, long before Shannon and the kids, to squeeze in a 20+ mile run before a full day of patients. Just last Thursday morning, Dr. Pollack began a 27.41 mile run at 2:04am, which he completed in 4 hours and 8 minutes. He then returned home to walk the dog, take a shower, attend a health event at Aegis Media for work, and then head into the office to treat patients and push them to strive to be the healthiest and best version of themselves. When you’re a busy doctor training for the marathon and don’t have enough time in the day, you’ve got to make time!

Dr. Pollack is using a cool mobile app called Endomondo, which taps into a satellite and saves his running route and history, measuring distance, duration, speed, calories burned, hydration, heart rate and altitude. 
 
Here we show the progression of his stats from August to September to October on 20+ mile runs. We think he’s a shining example of greatness, the theme of the month here at DASHA, and on track to perform well on race day for the ING NYC Marathon on Sunday, November 3rd.
