What is it: “The F-Factor 20/20 Fiber/Protein Powders pack in 20 grams of fat-fighting fiber to boost metabolism along with 20 grams of organic muscle-building protein.” – F-Factor
Tanya Zuckerbrot MS, RD, a dietician and NYC native, was inspired to enter the protein supplement world after working closely with patients to resolve cholesterol, diabetes, and other dietary concerns. She found the majority of her clients lost weight by increasing their intake of dietary fiber—and formulated a protein powder that included just that.
Pros: When I am taking in a lot of fiber, I usually feel very bloated and uncomfortable throughout the day. But with this product, I did not experience any bloat! I recommend the F-Factor shake for protein shake drinkers who are looking to get an extra fiber boost in their diet. I noticed this shake curbed my hunger, which I loved. It is also pretty low calorie compared to most protein drinks – about 145 calories per serving—and is free of gluten, soy, artificial sweeteners, and added sugars. This shake is great for those trying to lose weight or simply fill up your belly with some extra fiber!
Cons: Just like many whey-based protein shakes, the flavor might take a bit of getting used to. In my opinion, whey-based shakes have a slightly chalky consistency. I recommend popping this shake in a blender with ice and almond milk for a smoother, creamier consistency.
