The DASHA® “independent client providers” incorporates the GRASTON TECHNIQUE® (GT) in their treatment regimen to help speed up recovery, decrease overall time of treatment, promote faster rehabilitation, reduce the need for anti-inflammatory medication, and allow you to engage in everyday activities and resolve problems that may be chronic.
THE DASHA® STRATEGY
Only skilled Chiropractic physicians that are Graston Certified, trained, and accredited are able to perform the procedures of the Graston Technique®. The Graston Technique® is an advanced form of instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization which enables clinicians to effectively break down scar tissue and fascial restrictions.
This technique is performed with patented stainless steel instruments designed to effectively detect Repeat Stress Injuries (RSI) and other conditions. Graston tools are used to scrape the tissue. When the Graston tool is scraped over unhealthy tissue the stainless steel amplifies the “rough” feeling of the tissue. This tool helps to find the problematic areas.
COMMONLY TREATED CONDITIONS
GRASTON FOR ATHLETES
GT has been an integral and largely beneficial application in the preventative care and treatment of the acute and chronic conditions that affect athletes and weekend warriors. Implementing GT in the providers protocols has become more widely used as clients come in with minor tendinitis, scar tissue impediments and fascial pain syndromes.
The Graston Technique® is currently used by USA Olympic Training Centers, Amateur Sports Organizations, NFL, NBA, MLB, MLS, NHL, PGA Tour, AFL, etc., more than 6,500 leading health care providers, teaching institutions and major corporations worldwide.
GRASTON FOR STUBBORN PARTS OF THE BODY
Some parts of your body just don’t get very much blood flow. The “independent client providers” that are under the DASHA® Brand understand that the rotator cuff is just one example of a stubborn body part. Graston (GT) intentionally creates inflammation in a small area to stimulate blood flow and healing.
STRESS INJURIES
Stress injuries in the muscles, tendons and ligaments have a tendency to reoccur, especially if you constantly use muscles already in pain. The pain can vary from irritating to debilitating, and requires effective treatment to properly heal.
CHRONIC ISSUES
In chronic soft tissue injuries the muscle undergoes distinct texture changes. Over time this proceeds from smooth to stringy to ropy to knotted. This unique technique, Graston therapy is felt by both the doctor and the patient.
DASHA® “independent client providers” treat elite athletes, patients, and various corporations with Graston Technique® to keep them injury free and functioning at their maximum level
Graston Technique® may be added on to any sports massage.
