Today’s Sha-nan-igans Since I’m training for the #NYUnitedAirlinesHalf Marathon I have decided to utilize my company for wellness services. I mean “Why Not?” I figured I am going to need some really good stretching and massages along the way so why not get started today!
I was experiencing some tightness in my neck so I called down to DASHA® and requested to have an appointment with one of the service providers. I even signed in as a patient! (and didn’t bring my cell phone either!) I was immediately assessed by Miss Marina DiMicelli, LMT and she explained that I most likely am feeling this pain from running forward on an incline. She worked on me for about 15 minutes and then suggested that I come back for electric stim and therapy. I left feeling much better. Plus, I got a little gift bag with a bottle of Biofreeze Cold Therapy Pain Relief!
Funny enough, I had a scheduled run today and I was determined to do it. As Im running out the door to make my run happen, I screamed to my assistant,”Order ME” RICE and VEGGIES! Thankfully, Lau knew that there was NO WAY that would fill me up. She added some grilled chicken and threw in a piece of sashimi with a side of my “must have” eel sauce. I don’t think I even came up for air while I was eating my lunch.
Between the phone calls & meetings, my time had escaped me! It was already 11:45 and it was time to boogie!
See it really does take a village to make it ALL happen!
