Today’s she-nan-igans People who have this intense desire or compulsion to run have what I call “exercise addiction” this is really a thing! It has become so much easier to find an exercise that suits your personality disorder (lol) in todays fitness world. Whether you take on Tabata, HIIT, Yoga, or Spinning Classes you will learn to chase the high! For no other reason then it makes you feel so good.
Over the course of years millions of human beings have exercised without any type of arch support, pronation control, and most likely never had toys like “trigger point therapy rollers.” Luckily for us we live in the age of technology where running shoe companies have learned how to use computer technology and science to create the perfect sneaker for every type of fitness buff! Now you can understand just why the exercise you have chosen has become even more addicting.
So what do you love to do most? For me I see running as the type of sport you can do anywhere. But beware because the gear can certainly climb the ladder of expense, especially if you are looking to follow the latest trends.
So how did my “ITCH” come about? About 2 years ago I went through some tremendous personal stress and needed to find a way to release it somehow. I was either doing it that way or I would have ended up behind bars! So instead, I started running every day just to relax my nerves, sleep better and release any negative feelings I was holding on too.
Then one day I decided it was enough, I was getting too hooked and OMG, I realized I got that running addiction everyone has talked about!
What’s the magic in the potion that makes running so addictive? Google it, you’ll most likely find things about: runners high, endorphins, some even claim people are addicted to running just the same way as people are addicted to drugs.
What makes me want to go back to running day in and day out? The addiction is always about chasing that good feeling. It helps me to escape my pain and feel happy, motivated or at the very least distracted fro the daily nuances of the entrepreneurial life.
Question:Other than the physical benefits what is it about running that motivates you?
