We’re moving into the Memorial Day Weekend holiday, which is the unofficial start of summer. At DASHA®, I see a lot of patients eager to achieve their desired summer fitness goals so they can look their best on the beach.
In a world where you’re expected to be available to your job 24/7via phone and email while also juggling family responsibilities and a social life, making time for your physical wellness is tough. I’m up against those same challenges, which is why I’ve been focusing on workouts that take less time, but are still very effective.

Not everyone has a gym in the office, I get that. But maybe you have one nearby that you can go to on your lunch break, or maybe you can park further away from your office, take walks on lunch (get a colleague to commit with you), or workout while you binge watch your favorite TV show at night so you kill two birds with one stone; watch your favorite show and get your workout in!
The point is to move more, much more – sitting is the new smoking. Diet and exercise are as much of a wellness prescription for preventive medicine as anything else. Getting in the habit now means fewer hours spent in doctor offices further down the road.
