Today’s Sha-nan-igans I am hooked on Acai bowls (Ah-sigh-ee)! These healthy fruit bowls have become quite the craze plus they are very easy to get down just before a meeting. Acai is delicious, and good for you, plus the pulp of the acai berries contain antioxidants, fiber and heart-healthy fats. For me, it’s a bit of a surprise each time I order one. I typically get my bowl without yogurt just to keep it on the lighter side. But trust me I make up for it with my toppings. The coolest part is your bowl can be as colorful as you like, using all different types of fruit, granola, coconut flakes and/or almond butter for some more protein & crunch. If you haven’t tried one as of yet, GO GET ONE!
