What are you waiting for?

We’re officially less than a month away from summer! So what the heck are you waiting for? We all know that the first thing to go right out the window is usually our healthy lifestyle. Once the sun is shining and the temperatures rise all the action begins! From “bottomless brunches” unlimited Mimosas, Bloody Mary’s and those late night beach parties, it becomes a challenge to keep up! Not to mention a bit blurry.

So what do we do? Prepare early, cut the NAMASTE bit out and refocus on that body a little harder! All year long you hit the gym, take “military style classes” and “twist like a contortionist” in yoga. But just before you need to get your “Beach Bod” on you stop feeling motivated. Don’t “BS” us because “We know your type and you’ve got what it takes to make it happen!”

Simplify your life and start taking your training outside. Kick off those uncomfortable shoes that probably look so damn good and invest in a new pair of sneakers. You won’t care so much about getting those kicks dirty or what you are wearing because no one is watching you. So stop the excuses.

Follow these tips!

Push yourself out of your comfort zone, this way when you want to make an extra purchase or two and slip into your favorite bathing suit, you wont feel guilty.

Cut out all the extras. Stop yourself now. This is everything from the extra piece of chocolate with your dessert, the extra (or few extra) drinks after dinner, the extra money you’re spending on new bags, belt or shoes. We all know that once those summer nights roll around, it won’t be as easy to say no and make obscene purchases.

Get up early! It’s easy to sleep in on the weekends, and stroll out of bed. But then you’re wasting the day away! With the sun peeking through your window at 7 AM, It’s time to get your body adjusted to waking up early, this way your weekends seem longer and they’ll be filled with fun, packed days!

Keep a positive mind. Throughout the winter, we easily find ourselves hiding inside, canceling plans, and spending a lot of time alone. We get roped into that mindset when we don’t want to go outside in the dark and cold.

Now that summer is almost here, we need to break out of those old habits and get into a routine of saying yes, and actually meaning it! Make a decision on how you want to feel this summer. It’s your choice on whether or not you want to be FIT or be jealous!
