Some Final Thoughts Gearing up for Race Day

By | 2017-06-09T14:35:56-04:00 November 1st, 2014|Lifestyle|

Tomorrow morning I’ll be running the TCS New York City Marathon through all five boroughs to raise money for the American Cancer Society.  Race day weather promises to be cold and windy, with temperatures eventually settling in the upper 40s.  You can see my sneakers and bib number in the photo accompany this blog post.

While I’ll be running with 50,000 other people, I’m really only in competition with myself – this is one of the best things about running – you are in control of setting the pace and your goals.  Tonight I’ll probably have some chicken with pasta and tomorrow morning I’ll fuel up with a bagel, banana and Gatorade before warming up with some jumping jacks, high-knee walks, butt kicks and slow-walking lunges.  I’m looking forward to seeing Shannon and the kids cheering me on.

Don’t forget to turn back your clocks tomorrow.  Fall back, spring forward!  Click HERE to make a donation to the American Cancer Society and click HERE to read all the details about the Runners Relief Package we are running at DASHA® for marathon participants, good for six ART/Graston Technique sessions with complimentary stretching if booked by Friday, November 7th.

See you at the starting line!
